The Story

Humanity has conquered illness, freed itself from the limits of aging, and built a new civilization within the Continuum—a vast simulated world shaped by memory.

Thea is a memory archaeologist, known as a “memory diver,” trained to investigate anomalies buried within the Continuum. When the first uploaded human mysteriously vanishes, she is drawn into an adventure that threatens the foundations of their world—and may reveal a new possibility for what humanity can become.

Intelligent companions that protect, guide, record events, and connect their users to the Continuum.

Characters

Thea

A gifted but unpredictable memory archaeologist. Thea sees what others cannot and refuses to accept the limits imposed on her.

Aevum

Thea’s guide and closest ally, caught between his duty to preserve the Continuum and his desire to keep her alive.

Ilyon

The first human to be successfully uploaded—and survive. His disappearance may reveal the Continuum’s greatest secret.

Orb

Thea’s intelligent companion and constant guide. Designed to protect, record, and connect her to the Continuum, the orb may understand the growing anomalies better than anyone realizes.

About the Project

What Do Gods Remember began with a question: What would happen to humanity if every last detail of memory were archived and accessible?

Developed as both a screenplay and a novel, the project is a hopeful science-fiction adventure exploring memory, identity, grief, faith, and humanity’s future in an accelerating technological world.
